When you create a Skyp account with an email and password, your password must meet a few requirements. These rules are enforced on the registration page as you type, and again on the server when you submit — so you'll get clear feedback before any account is created.
Password requirements
Your password must:
Be at least 12 characters long
Be no more than 128 characters long
Contain at least one uppercase letter (A–Z)
Contain at least one lowercase letter (a–z)
Contain at least one number (0–9)
As you type, a strength indicator below the password field shows which requirements have been met. The form won't let you submit until all requirements are satisfied.
Common issues
"Password must be at least 12 characters" — Your password is too short. Add more characters until the indicator shows this requirement is met.
"Password must contain an uppercase letter" — Add at least one capital letter anywhere in the password.
"Password must contain a lowercase letter" — Add at least one lowercase letter anywhere in the password.
"Password must contain a number" — Add at least one digit (0–9) anywhere in the password.
Signing up with Google
