How to Connect Your LinkedIn Account to Skyp

Step-by-step guide to connecting your LinkedIn account using Skyp's Quick Connect flow — no cookies or manual steps required.

Written by Alexander Shartsis

Connecting your LinkedIn account lets Skyp send connection requests and direct messages on your behalf as part of your outreach campaigns. The connection is set up through a secure, hosted authentication flow — no cookie hunting or manual steps required.

Before you start

  • You need an active LinkedIn account.

  • You must be logged in to Skyp.

  • If your LinkedIn account has two-factor authentication enabled, that's fine — the Quick Connect flow handles it automatically.

How to connect your LinkedIn account

  1. In Skyp, go to Integrations in the left sidebar.

  2. Find the LinkedIn section and click Connect LinkedIn.

  3. In the dialog that opens, click the Connect via LinkedIn button. A secure sign-in window will open in a new tab.

  4. Sign in with your LinkedIn credentials. If prompted for two-factor authentication, complete it as usual. We handle the 2FA flow automatically.

  5. Once you've signed in successfully, you can close the login tab and return to Skyp. Your LinkedIn account will appear as connected in the Integrations page.

What Skyp can do with your LinkedIn connection

Once connected, Skyp can:

  • Send connection requests to contacts in your LinkedIn campaigns.

  • Send direct messages to existing LinkedIn connections as part of a follow-up sequence.

Skyp acts on your behalf using your LinkedIn account, so all activity appears to come from you directly.

Reconnecting or switching accounts

If your LinkedIn session expires or you want to connect a different account, return to Integrations and click Reconnect LinkedIn. Follow the same Quick Connect steps above.

Troubleshooting

  • The Login window didn't open: Check that your browser isn't blocking pop-ups from Skyp, then try again.

  • Sign-in failed: Make sure you're using the correct LinkedIn credentials. If you use single sign-on (SSO) via Google or Apple to log in to LinkedIn, use that method in the login window as well.

  • Connection shows as disconnected after signing in: Wait a few seconds and refresh the Integrations page. If the issue persists, try reconnecting.
