Skyp can send LinkedIn connection requests and direct messages as part of your outreach workflow. Once connected, you can include LinkedIn touches in your campaigns and trigger LinkedIn actions from AI assistant integrations via MCP.
Connecting your LinkedIn account
LinkedIn integration uses a secure, hosted sign-in flow powered by Unipile — no cookie hunting or manual session extraction required.
Go to Integrations in the Skyp sidebar.
Find the LinkedIn card and click Connect LinkedIn.
In the dialog that appears, click Connect via LinkedIn. A secure sign-in window will open in a new tab, hosted by Unipile (Skyp's LinkedIn connection partner).
Sign in with your LinkedIn credentials. If your account has two-factor authentication enabled, complete it as prompted — the flow handles 2FA automatically.
Once signed in, close the Unipile tab and return to Skyp. Your LinkedIn account will appear as connected on the Integrations page.
For detailed troubleshooting and reconnection steps, see How to Connect Your LinkedIn Account to Skyp.
What you can do with LinkedIn connected
Send connection requests — Include a LinkedIn connection request step in your outreach sequence, with an optional personalized note.
Send AI-personalized direct messages — Skyp generates a unique follow-up message for each connected lead based on their LinkedIn profile and your campaign goal — not a single template sent to everyone.
MCP integration — If you use Skyp's AI assistant integration, LinkedIn actions are available as MCP tools, allowing an AI assistant to send connection requests or messages as part of a broader outreach workflow.
When a connection request is accepted
Skyp automatically detects when a contact accepts your LinkedIn connection request. Two things happen:
You receive an email notification — Skyp sends you an email letting you know who accepted your request, so you can decide whether to follow up personally as well.
A personalized follow-up message is queued — Skyp generates a unique message for that lead and schedules it to send once the connection is accepted (subject to any delay you've configured — see below).
Follow-up delay after acceptance
To make automated follow-ups feel more natural, you can set a follow-up delay on each LinkedIn campaign — the number of hours Skyp will wait after a connection is accepted before sending the follow-up message. For example, setting a 24-hour delay means the message won't go out until at least one day after the contact accepted your request. The delay can be configured in the campaign's settings.
When a lead replies to your message
Skyp automatically detects when a lead replies to one of your LinkedIn direct messages. Two things happen:
You receive an email notification — Skyp emails you when a lead replies, so you can follow up personally if appropriate.
Further sending stops for that lead — By default, Skyp will not send any more messages in the sequence to a lead who has already replied, so you don't over-message someone who is already engaged.
This behaviour (called stop sending after reply) is enabled by default on all LinkedIn campaigns. Power users can adjust this setting per campaign via Skyp's MCP tools.
LinkedIn sending limits
To protect your LinkedIn account from restrictions, Skyp enforces conservative sending limits:
Connection requests: Up to 15 per day, 50 per week
Direct messages: Up to 30 per day
These limits apply across all campaigns sharing the same LinkedIn account, so Skyp coordinates across campaigns automatically.
Disconnecting LinkedIn
To remove the integration, go to Integrations, find the LinkedIn card, and click Disconnect. This immediately removes your connection from Skyp and stops any pending LinkedIn actions.
