Setting LinkedIn Account-Level Sending Limits in Skyp

How to configure account-level weekly invite, daily invite, and daily message limits that apply across all your LinkedIn campaigns in Skyp.

Written by Alexander Shartsis

Skyp lets you set account-level sending limits on your connected LinkedIn account. These caps apply across all campaigns sharing that account — so you can keep your total daily and weekly activity within LinkedIn's recommended safe ranges, regardless of how many campaigns are running at once.

These are separate from the per-campaign limits you configure in the campaign wizard. The effective limit for any campaign is whichever is lower: the account-level cap or the campaign-level cap.

The three account-level limits

  • Weekly invite limit — Maximum connection requests sent per week across all campaigns. Resets each Sunday. Range: 1–100. Default: 50.

  • Daily invite limit — Maximum connection requests sent per day across all campaigns. Range: 1–30. Default: 15.

  • Daily message limit — Maximum follow-up messages sent per day across all campaigns. Range: 1–100. Default: 50.

Example: If your account-level daily invite limit is 15 and a campaign's own daily invite limit is 20, Skyp will send at most 15 invites per day for that campaign — the account-level cap takes precedence.

How to update your account limits

Account-level limits are currently updated via Skyp's AI assistant tools (MCP) — for example, through Claude or the Skyp Slack integration. You don't need to pause any campaigns to change them; the new limits take effect immediately.

Using Claude

  1. Connect Skyp to Claude if you haven't already — see Using Skyp with Claude.

  2. Ask Claude to update your LinkedIn sending limits. For example:
"Set my LinkedIn daily invite limit to 10 and my weekly invite limit to 40."

  3. Claude will use the Skyp MCP tool to apply the change and confirm the new values.

Using the Skyp Slack integration

  1. Connect your Slack workspace to Skyp — see Connecting Slack to Skyp for Notifications and AI Assistant Access.

  2. Message the Skyp AI assistant in Slack and ask it to update your LinkedIn limits.

Tips for choosing your limits

  • Stay within LinkedIn's recommended ranges. LinkedIn monitors activity on your account. Keeping weekly invites at 50 or below and daily invites at 15 or below significantly reduces the risk of restrictions.

  • Adjust when running multiple campaigns. If you have several active LinkedIn campaigns, account-level limits prevent them from collectively exceeding LinkedIn's thresholds — set them lower than any single campaign's limit would suggest.

  • Campaign limits still apply. Even if your account limit is high, each campaign will still respect its own per-campaign limits set in the LinkedIn Campaigns wizard.

Viewing your connected LinkedIn accounts

To see which LinkedIn accounts are connected to Skyp, go to LinkedIn in the sidebar. Each connected account is listed with its current status. You can ask the Skyp AI assistant to show your current account-level limits for any connected session at any time.
